Terms and conditions
Applying to higher education in Sweden requires acceptance of certain conditions.
User account
You need to create a user account to apply to Universityadmissions.se. This account is primarily used to apply for courses and programmes at Sweden’s higher education institutions (HEIs). It can also be used to gain access to certain other services at the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR, the public authority responsible for this website) or Swedish HEIs.
General rules for account usage
- All use of your personal user account must follow Swedish law and regulations.
- You are the only person who may use your personal user account, password and codes.
- You may not create multiple accounts. You are only allowed one account on Universityadmissions.se.
Rules for password usage
As a user of Universityadmissions.se, you’re responsible for:
- never using your password for other systems,
- never revealing your password to anyone who asks for it via email, telephone, or another way,
- changing your password if you discover your password security has been compromised.
If you've forgotten your password and no longer have access to the email account associated with your account, do not create another account. Contact the University Admissions Support Centre for assistance.
Anyone who violates, or is suspected of violating, these general rules can be suspended from Universityadmissions.se for investigation. If this happens, you’ll be required to apply for admission using a paper process. In some cases, legal action may also be taken.
Documentation and verification
As part of the application process, you’ll be required to provide information about yourself and provide documentation in support of your application. The following conditions apply to your application information:
- Your personal information and submitted documentation must be authentic, accurate and truthful.
- UHR may decide to verify the authenticity of your submitted documents with the issuing authority. If there is a reason that we shouldn’t do this, please contact UHR and explain why. You can use the contact form. UHR may not be able to process your admissions application if your education documents cannot be verified.
It may be a criminal offense to provide knowingly false or falsified information. UHR reports all suspected fraud to the police. Universities reserve the right to withdraw or amend any offer of admission if it becomes evident that an application contains fraudulent information.
Processing of personal data
UHR will use the personal data you provide when you create your account at Universityadmissions.se to process your application. Find out more about the processing of your personal data.
